So when I went up north this weekend my cousin went with us and on the way up there I put The Doors on and my cousin, who is 16, said that it was so bad she wanted to kill herself and that I need help for listening to them. So I was like this is The Doors, and she said she has never heard of them and she has never heard of Jim Morrison, so I told her that they are a very famous band and she said obviously not or I would have heard of them. She listens to Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift and she thinks The Doors are so bad. My sister’s boyfriend said the same thing not too long ago, he is 22, he didn’t believe me that The Doors are famous because he has never heard of them. He also said he has never heard of Janis Joplin. They both didn’t know who Joan Jett was either and whenever I talk about her to people most of the time they say they have never heard of her, well until I tell them she sings I Love Rock N Roll. It’s so weird cause even before I got really into their music I always knew who they were.
